Brunch at Omni Philadelphia at Independence Park: Elegant Casual Dining at Its Finest #OmniPhilly

This past Sunday, I had the pleasure of enjoying a Blogger Beauty Brunch at the Omni Hotel at Independence Park in Philadelphia with several fellow Philly Social Media Moms.  Hosted by Joey Fortman of Real Mom Media, this event spoiled this mama from beginning to end!

The brunch, located in the beautiful Azalea Restaurant on the second floor of the Omni Hotel, far exceeded my expectations.  The spacious room with its beautiful decor and large windows overlooking Independence Park exuded charm and elegance from the moment we stepped inside.

Brunch was a smorgasbord of deliciousness.  From the carving stations to omelets made to order with fresh veggies to  homemade light fluffy and perfectly toasted mini shaped waffles to the bacon and sausage (oh my!) to the sinful chocolate fountain, crepes and divine cake choices, there was something for everyone on the menu.  Tables were lined with fresh grilled veggies, numerous cold salads, cheeses, bagels, muffins and fresh fruit. Selections included Roasted Rack of Lamb, Slow Roasted Filet, Roasted Turkey Breast, Smoked Salmon, Tortellini, Baked Salmon, and Sun Dried Tomato Risotto, Orzo Salad, gazpacho salad, California Sushi Roll, Asian Noodle Salad, Russian Potato Salad, Caesar Salad, and Seafood Newburg just to name a few.  The selection was simply out-of-this world!

The service was just as fantastic as the food.  The staff was friendly and energetic, moving about the room and assuring that all guests were happy, welcome and content.  Whether they were checking in to offer a complimentary mimosa, coffee or tea, the staff really went out of their way to ensure complete satisfaction during the dining experience.  What a pleasure - and a treat - to enjoy such a superb, uninterrupted meal chatting with the ladies and soaking up the relaxation!

Every morsel of my food was sweet, savory, succulent - and undeniably scrumptious!  Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly.  Since I am trying to watch what I eat, I was pleasantly surprised to also find healthy selections such as egg beaters, fresh fruit, and grilled veggies. (Although I must admit - I couldn't help but give in to dipping some of my fresh fruit in the chocolate fountain - YUMMMM!)  This buffet certainly has something for everyone - and it certainly does not disappoint!

Perfect for out of town visitors as well as locals looking for an elegant brunch in the city, the Azalea restaurant is an exquisite choice to relax, unwind and enjoy a lovely dining experience. Sunday brunch is available 10 am – 2 pm weekly at $46.95 per person plus tax and gratuity. Reservations are suggested and can be made by calling 215.925.0000.

Oh - and lest we forget - be sure to bring your appetite!
